Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis, an American actor and producer who has performed in theatre as well as television and film productions well, is present in both the film and theater screen. Her career in acting began at the theater. She then appeared in several television shows in independent films, mainstream and films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. In BET's epic show The Book of Negroes she was a character. She did not only be praised by critics for her performance, but she also received a few awards and nominations. Her first professional performance was in the role of Ariel in The Tempest. Her stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Coming to her movie career she is most well-known for her role in movies such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. She is also well-known for her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
