Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actor, singer, and model. Her most well-known role was co-starring in the film of Prince's Purple Rain and for having been the lead singer of the girl group Apollonia 6. Apollonia was a performer/singer born to Prince in 1984 became one of the female musicians of the 80s who benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as a model and actress. The latter part of the 70s was when she appeared on CHiPS. She was the lead female in Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at the time he changed the name of her). At the time of that year, she replaced Vanity in the form of the trio Vanity 6 and was a part of their brand name Apollonia 6 in the film. Sex Shooter from the soundtrack made a tiny hit for her trio but as Prince's duet partner in Take Me with You she was more successful. Kotero's association with Prince came to an end when the duo were at odds over her career direction. Apollonia 6, the organization she was a part of had a ended up splitting. She went on to appear in several minor films during the period (reportedly declining to appear on the Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) prior to landing an appearance on the evening-time show Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia had the opportunity to make her debut album available in 1988. However, the album did not leave an lasting impression on music lovers and soon faded from the spotlight.
