
Leona Louise (born on the 3rd April in 1986) is a British actor, singer an activist, actor, and singer. Born and raised in the London Borough of Islington, she attended in the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology located in Croydon. Lewis achieved national recognition as she won the third season on The X Factor 2006 and got a deal worth PS1,000,000 and Syco music. The winning single that was a cover of Kelly Clarkson's track "A Moment Like This", reached 50,000 downloads within 30 minutes, and was ranked at the top of the charts for 4 weeks. Clive Davis, Lewis's American record label J Records signed Lewis a 5 album deal in February 2007. Lewis's successes continued when she released her debut album Spirit (2007). The album is certified platinum within the UK and became the fourth most-sold album in the 2000s. Spirit is, as per Official Charts Company is the highest-seller debut album by a female artist. The album's first single "Bleeding Love" was on top of the UK charts for seven straight weeks, and was one of the best-selling singles in 2007. The song was among the best-selling during 2008, as well. Lewis earned the Billboard Award for the Best New Artist. Her debut album was Echo in 2009 , and made "I I See You" as the movie's theme song. Lewis also released "Collide," a joint work along with Swedish DJ Avicii. In 2011 she also dropped Hurt, the extended play on her EP debut. Glassheart (2012) was her third studio album. Lewis drew inspiration from electronic and dubstep music. The Glassheart Tour was in the middle of 2013, when she started recording songs to make her first Christmas album. The Christmas album, with Love was released late in 2013. Its lead single, One More Sleep, peaked at number 3 in the UK. This chart entry was what made Lewis the first British independent female musician in the top fivespot, with eight singles. Lewis also broke Olivia Newton-John's seven record.
